Role Overview

We are looking for a Transportation Project Manager to oversee and manage various projects in the Wisconsin region. This role offers flexibility with a hybrid work model, allowing for a balance between remote and in-office work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and design multi-disciplinary highway or civil engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with the Highway/Roadway team to support a diverse range of local and national projects based on workload and opportunities.
  • Supervise the efforts of team members in completing necessary plans, studies, documents, and reports.
  • Conduct extensive agency coordination, planning, and programming while working with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Assist in proposal preparation and lead scope development and execution upon project selection.
  • Coordinate project staffing and manage workload for a team of engineers and designers.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in transportation design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Familiarity with the operations of public agencies.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Commitment to mentoring and training team members.
  • Proven leadership abilities and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Openness to providing and receiving constructive feedback.
  • A commitment to actively participating in our employee-owned culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in engineering and project management for governmental agencies and local authorities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and personnel effectively.
  • Strong business development skills with a history of securing projects as a project manager or task lead.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills.
  • Strong presentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with WisDOT, counties, and municipalities.
