Job Title: Director, Business Development

U.S. Venture is seeking a highly skilled Director of Business Development to drive growth and expansion of our Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leveraging industry relationships to originate new and existing RNG supply sources for U.S. Venture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth and expansion of the RNG business.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including biogas producers, transportation companies, and regulatory agencies.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including joint project development and direct purchase of RNG.
  • Develop and present business cases to senior leaders to secure funding and resources for new initiatives.
  • Oversee and provide support in the preparation of formal responses to RFIs and RFPs to grow the RNG business.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in energy, climate, and transportation regulations, incentives, policy frameworks, and goals.
  • Negotiate deal structures that leverage U.S. Venture's capabilities to provide a turnkey solution for biogas producers.
  • Lead complex contract negotiations to position the RNG business for long-term success.
  • Participate in the strategic planning process for the RNG business.
  • Identify new business opportunities through customer research, analysis, and insights with presented recommendations to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, accounting, economics, or financial management.
  • 5-7 years of related experience in renewable natural gas, alternative fuels, renewable fuels, transportation, or project development.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to speak clearly and persuasively, respond well to questions, and write clearly and informatively.
  • Proven leadership skills, with high professional ethics and unquestionable integrity.
  • Ability to build a network of prospects and strategic relationships.
  • Driven team player with an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset.
  • Forward-thinking decision-maker with the ability to organize and prioritize.
  • Strong analytical skills to synthesize complex or diverse information.
  • Strong ability to generate creative solutions and translate concepts into images.
  • Works collaboratively with others and maintains an appropriate professional image.
  • Willing to travel up to 50%.
