Step into this essential role supporting NYP's mission to strengthen our comprehensive Compliance and Privacy Program across the NYP network.

You will join a dedicated team that implements procedures, reviews guidelines, and raises awareness regarding Compliance and Patient Privacy Rights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the hospital billing coding compliance lifecycle throughout the NYP health system.
  • Conduct timely audits for both inpatient and outpatient hospital services to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and established documentation, coding, charging, and billing standards.
  • Evaluate areas of hospital billing compliance risk, emerging regulations, and provide education to hospital billing personnel, departments, and key stakeholders regarding identified deficiencies and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with essential stakeholders involved in the provision, documentation, charging, coding, and/or billing of hospital services to ensure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for inquiries related to hospital billing compliance.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 guidelines across various specialties.

This is a full-time remote position overseeing initiatives across the enterprise.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with EPIC in hospital revenue cycle processes (documentation, charging, coding, and billing)

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
  • Certification through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
  • Extensive knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD-10 guidelines across multiple specialties
  • Able to conduct regulatory research and monitor significant changes

Salary Range:
$82,500-$114,000/Annual. Our competitive compensation packages begin with a solid base salary and recognize your experience, education, and licensure.
