Technology Merchandising Supervisor

Apollo Retail Specialists is seeking a skilled Technology Merchandising Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail merchandising support company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of retail projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise small to medium-scale projects through all phases, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Establish and monitor administrative procedures for each project, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Initiate and maintain seamless lines of communication with clients, facilitating successful project execution and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Interact with customers and team members in a professional and business-like manner, demonstrating excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in respecting the confidentiality of customer and company information, maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times.
  • Possess strong time-management skills, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and meeting project deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills when dealing with internal and external partners, including clients, team members, and corporate leaders.
  • Oversee team and individual efforts, understanding the principles and efficiencies of teamwork and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Use good judgment when assigning tasks to workers based on their observed or known skills, ensuring effective project execution.
  • Provide periodic formal and informal performance development feedback to team members, promoting growth and development within the organization.
  • Interact professionally and tactfully with all members of field staff, managing difficult situations and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Coach/train all levels of field personnel, including on-the-job training for team member certifications and career progression.
  • Ensure safety and minimize risk, following all company and customer safety practices and protocols.
  • Check emails regularly throughout the day, responding to all communications and ensuring timely action on project-related matters.
  • Review schedules weekly, reporting any scheduling conflicts to field management personnel and ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Communicate with project teams/field management personnel via daily email/field reports, providing updates on project progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Ability to provide honest, straightforward feedback when rating/reviewing submitted daily field reports, ensuring accurate and timely completion of project tasks.
  • Complete appropriate records of activity, including but not limited to "Sign Offs", pictures, reports, and other deliverables, providing daily recaps of work completed to field management personnel.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping within the company's reporting systems daily for assigned team(s), maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Coordinate the employee time recording process, ensuring time information is properly formatted and transmitted to the Field Management team.
  • Review timecards in the Company's online timekeeping system, reporting any discrepancies to the Field management team by the end of that work week to allow for payroll to process.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and distributed appropriately, planning projects, developing and organizing all information and reporting.
  • Place manufacturer products on shelves within retail establishments in a neat and orderly manner in strict accordance with specifications, Plan-O-Grams, pictures, or other instructions provided.
  • Place Point of Purchase (POP) information, signage, stickers, or other required materials under specific guidelines to aid in merchandising the manufacturer's products.
  • Communicate with the Project Manager, Field management team, and fellow team members as required to receive and carry out special instructions for completing the setup of the store environment.
  • Identify specific issues that may result in network/cloud connectivity problems.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to recognize and deal with priorities in a manner that assures maximization of customer satisfaction and revenue attainment.
  • Demonstrate good judgment regarding escalating issues that are beyond the scope and control of this position on time.
  • Seek guidance and direction from appropriate members within the organization or from other outside sources as may be required in the performance of responsibilities and duties.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and reasoning in investigating and solving problems associated with meeting company objectives for areas and accounts assigned.
  • Ability to spend reasonable additional time beyond normal working hours as may be required to meet project demands.
  • Use available time during any workday wisely and productively to maximize work efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to work locations on time.
  • Strong computer skills (including Excel, Word, and Outlook) and comfort with Smart phone devices.
  • Education: High school diploma/GED equivalent is strongly preferred, with proven educational development beyond high school in areas of business management and/or project administration in a retail setting also preferred.
  • The ability to follow instructions and diagrams, such as Plan-O-Grams, RIGs, Training videos, and Blueprints or layouts, is an essential component of work carried out by this person.
  • 5+ years of experience managing field operations onsite for retail services companies.
  • 3-5 years of experience with network, routers, modems, and device security.
  • The ability to use hand tools and most power tools is necessary, with basic hand tools and some power tools owned by the individual.
  • Great written and oral communication skills—people skills are critical, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and across functional teams.
  • Transmit reports on project progress, evaluations, hours, and any issues.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and execute with limited or no supervision.
  • Possesses exceptional time-management skills, assuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
