We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive new business development and strengthen our relationships within the fashion and uniform industries. The position would report to our Director of Sales and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities- New Business Development: Identify, target, and secure new clients in the fashion and uniform industries.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a sales plan that aligns with the company's growth objectives, focusing on the fashion and uniform segments.
- Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to tailor sales approaches effectively.
- Product Presentation: Lead client presentations, showcasing Waterbury Button Company's unique product offerings and customization capabilities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external teams (marketing, product development, and operations) to deliver on client expectations and ensure seamless project execution.
- Marketing: Support and lead marketing efforts to unify branding and drive customer growth.
- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue through effective sales efforts, closing deals, and achieving set sales targets.
- Reporting: Track sales activity, provide accurate forecasts, and report on progress toward goals.
- Experience: 3-5 years of sales experience in fashion, uniform, or apparel-related industries, with a proven track record of success in new business development.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the fashion and/or uniform industries and the unique needs of clients in these sectors.
- Sales Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, set goals, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build long-term client relationships and foster collaboration within the team.
- Travel: In-person at the Cheshire, CT facility when not traveling to visit clients or events. Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend trade shows or industry events, including routine NYC trips.
