We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Management Specialist to join our team at IDB. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial loans, providing financial analysis and underwriting services to ensure timely and accurate decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough financial analysis and underwriting for renewals, annual reviews, and modifications to ensure compliance with IDB's credit policies and risk profile.
- Monitor the portfolio for indicators of stress or risk, such as failed covenants, downward financial trends, and collateral devaluation.
- Keep Relationship Managers informed of any issues with credit or portfolio risk, and identify opportunities for cross-selling, referrals, and credit expansion.
- Ensure timely collection of financial statements, rent rolls, and other required reporting requirements to support portfolio management.
- Provide top-notch client service, including direct contact with clients and prospects, to meet IDB's high standards.
- Remain up-to-date on all client matters to minimize risk, and complete annual reviews of credits.
- Ensure full compliance with all client matters, and achieve individual and team goals.
- Develop positive working relationships with all segments and individual bank partners, and complete required training in a timely manner.
- Conduct oneself as a true brand ambassador for IDB, and interact with clients as needed by Relationship Managers.
- Strong credit and organizational skills, with a solid understanding of commercial real estate credit facilities, including bridge loans, term loans, construction loans, lines of credit, and other commercial mortgage types.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in commercial loan portfolio management/underwriting or a related field.
- Ability to work as part of the Middle Office team, collaborating with Direct Manager, Account Officers, and Group Manager.
- Willingness to take on special projects as needed, and familiarity with bank reports, systems, and processes.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work in a collaborative environment with tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, with experience in Commercial Real Estate underwriting, C&I underwriting and monitoring, and Seniors Housing underwriting and monitoring.
IDB offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000, plus an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
