About the Role

The Simulation Education Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for creating and implementing simulation-based education programs for healthcare professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of simulation technology and educational design principles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hospital departments, physicians, and clinical educators to design, develop, and implement simulation curriculum.
• Coordinate and facilitate simulation education for staff, students, and the community, based on identified needs.
• Conduct structure, process, and outcomes evaluation of all simulation educational activities.
• Serve as a resource to the Center regarding program evaluation for facility, staff, student, and community education programs.

Simulation and Clinical Lab

• Maintain and increase awareness and effectiveness of simulator-based education.
• Assist in the design, implementation, and presentation of specialized simulation training.
• Maintain an educational setting to support competency and performance training for personnel providing medical care.
• Identify, implement, and manage hardware, software, and multimedia resources to support the simulation center.
• Troubleshoot equipment, update operating systems, and resolve system problems with the manufacturer.

Qualifications

• 4 years of professional experience related to medicine, nursing, and/or emergency response required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• AZ RN license or RN license from a compact state required.
• Certification in simulation or education preferred.
• High-fidelity simulation experience preferred.
• Experience with operation of task trainers, low and high-fidelity mannequins, AV simulation software, and scenario development required.
