Job Opportunity

Felton Institute is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Supervisor Floater to join our team. As a Program Supervisor Floater, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Early Care and Education programs, while also receiving training and development opportunities to take on a leadership role in the future.

About the Role:

The Program Supervisor Floater will work closely with our current program supervisors to learn about the operations of our ECE programs, including program planning, budgeting, staff development, and other key aspects of program management. You will be responsible for providing coverage and support to our ECE programs as needed, including filling in for absent staff members, assisting with classroom management, and ensuring that all program policies and procedures are being followed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage and support to ECE programs as needed
  • Assist with classroom management and ensure compliance with program policies and procedures
  • Work closely with program supervisors to learn about program operations and develop leadership skills
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve program quality and outcomes
  • Collaborate with staff to achieve program goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • BA degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field of study
  • 5+ years of management and supervision experience in an Infant/Toddler/Preschool child development program
  • Must hold or be eligible for a State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Site Supervisor Permit or above
  • Must pass a Department of Justice fingerprint clearance and a Child Abuse Index clearance as required by licensing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with and support staff of varying educational and experiential backgrounds
  • Knowledge of Title V, Title 17, and Title 22 regulations
  • Ability to work independently under broad supervision
  • Ability to be a team player with a welcoming attitude and flexibility
