Program Supervisor Floater

Felton Institute is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Supervisor Floater to join our team in the Children, Youth, Family, and Transitional Age Youth Services Division. As a Program Supervisor Floater, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Early Care and Education programs, while also receiving training and development opportunities to take on a leadership role in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage and support to the ECE programs as needed, including filling in for absent staff members and ensuring that all program policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Work closely with current program supervisors and co-education directors to learn about program planning, budgeting, staff development, and other key aspects of program management.
  • Oversee the operations of the program, including planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing assigned administrative and financial operations.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of Lead Teachers, support the training of all classroom staff, and provide consultation and team building support.
  • Develop and implement training programs, prepare and plan training, and provide positive and non-evaluative feedback.

Requirements:

  • BA degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field of study required +5 years experience of management and supervision experience in an Infant/Toddler/Preschool child development program.
  • Must hold or be eligible for a State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Site Supervisor Permit or above.
  • Must pass a Department of Justice fingerprint clearance and a Child Abuse Index clearance as required by licensing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with and support staff of varying educational and experiential backgrounds, and excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of State and City Early Childhood Care and Education contracts, including PFA/HSA, C-Wages, and Vouchers contracts, and familiarity with the Pyramid Teaching Model (CSEFEL), California Infant/Toddler Learning, Preschool Learning Foundations, and Development Program Guidelines.
