Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EH&S Specialist to join our team at Watts Water Technologies. As an EH&S Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our environmental health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EH&S policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with EH&S policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments, industrial hygiene monitoring, and facility audits to eliminate, minimize, and control existing and potential hazards.
  • Review incident and accident reports to determine measures needed to prevent recurrences, including root cause analysis.
  • Identify EH&S training needs, conduct or oversee training, and ensure maintenance of the company training database.
  • Support the EH&S Platform Leader in the organization and scheduling of safety committee meetings.
  • Provide assistance with material classification, waste profiling, and manifesting.
  • Ensure completion of all waste and material tracking and reporting documentation.
  • Support Chemical Passivation system daily operations, including wastewater treatment operations, regulatory sampling and permitting, and process tank testing and maintenance.
  • Develop or assist in developing, organizing, scheduling, and conducting training programs for the Chemical Passivation department, HAZMAT team, and confined space entry and rescue team.
  • Actively participate in HAZMAT training, required cleanups, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Develop SOPs for the Chemical Passivation department, ensure that all P&ID's are up to date.
  • Review all PMs for mechanical integrity compliance, ensure that all piping is labeled and valve numbers are in place and accurate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in EH&S or related field.
  • 5-10 years of work experience in EH&S compliance.
  • Good understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory authority, including EPA, OSHA, DOT, and familiarity with federal, RCRA, CWA, SWPPP, SPCC, PSM, PHA, LOTO, PPE, HAZMAT, Machine Guarding, GHS, Confined Space Entry, Crane Safety, and Forklift Training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service attitude.
  • Industrial/Manufacturing EH&S experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in computer software applications (Microsoft office suite).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in implementing and/or maintaining an ISO or similar certification system.
  • 40 Hour Hazwoper.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish.
Work Environment

This position will work in an office environment as well as a manufacturing environment. May be required to perform duties outside the typical office setting.
