Job Title: Cardiac Device Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Device Specialist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Cardiac Device Specialist, you will be responsible for providing thorough, competent interrogations and reprogramming of cardiac devices implanted in patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interrogate and reprogram cardiac devices, including pacemakers, implantable loop records, and implantable cardiac defibrillators.
  • Conduct checks in office and remotely monitored patients.
  • Generate reports using service line program and document in EMR.
  • Bring acute/urgent issues to the attention of physicians or APPs.
  • Work with physicians, APPs, and other Cardiac Device Technicians to ensure alert thresholds and protocols remain current in the device clinic(s).

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of experience as Cardiac Device Specialist.
  • Bachelor of Science in nursing or clinical degree.
  • Cardiac Device Tech experience is required.
  • Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.

A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
