Job SummaryWe are seeking a Claims Support Specialist to join our team. As a Claims Support Specialist, you will provide technical claims support to our professional liability claims staff and customer service to claimants, clients, and vendors. You will be responsible for setting up new claim files, preparing reports, and performing administrative duties as required.
Key Responsibilities- Set up new claim files pursuant to department protocol
- Prepare monthly and quarterly ad hoc reports per client and/or manager's request
- Prepare standard form responses as directed by claims staff
- Handle special mailing and delivery requests
- Process claim payments as appropriate
- Maintain professional liability manuals as directed by management
- Perform administrative duties as required
- Support the organization's quality program(s)
- High School diploma or GED required
- One (1) year clerical or customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
