Client Development Manager

We are excited to partner with a leading US law firm to recruit a Client Development role within their Business Development function. The role will focus on the finance practice, becoming a key advisor to partners within that group.

The role will also involve managing a team based in the New York office, requiring individuals who are passionate about developing and nurturing junior talent.

We are interested in speaking with Legal Business Development professionals who want to move into a client-focused role, as well as those currently in a client role. Experience in the finance sector is a bonus, but not essential.

Previous experience at a managerial level is ideal, given the lead Client professional and people management responsibilities.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with finance attorneys and the finance BD team to develop strategic business initiatives tailored to the finance market.
  • Planning and delivering the annual business plan for the finance practice, setting and achieving core targets.
  • Taking a keen interest in understanding the specific needs of the firm's largest clients, being proactive to help further these relationships and increase potential revenue streams.
  • Working in a key advisory capacity to the firm's partners to advise on market trends and position the firm in the best manner possible within specific markets.
  • Driving the execution of the client events program, working with wider BD colleagues on planning and execution.
