Dining Room Supervisor Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dining Room Supervisor to join our team at Preswick Glen. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room, providing exceptional service to our residents, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling and Staff Management: Schedule and manage the dining room staff, including training and evaluating their performance.
  • Time-Card Approval and Vacation Management: Approve time-cards and process vacation and missed punch forms in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Dining Room Maintenance: Ensure the dining room is clean and well-maintained, and prepare the dining room for dinner service.
  • Resident Relations: Serve as the point of contact for residents regarding any issues or accommodations they may need.
  • Service Efficiency: Assign tasks and ensure sections are equally distributed to provide efficient service to our residents.
  • To-Go Order Management: Help expedite to-go orders by packaging and checking the order status.
  • Post-Meal Procedures: Ensure that sidework and breakdown of the dining room are completed after each meal.
  • Special Events and Holiday Meals: Assist with coordinating special events and holiday meals.
  • Charge Input and Record Keeping: Ensure accurate input of charges to resident accounts using the P.O.S. system and assist with record keeping and filing of dining room paperwork.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Contacts: Contact with residents, families, and guests, as well as staff members from all departments.
  • Working Conditions: Modern kitchen, dining area, and equipment.
  • Physical Demands: Walking and standing throughout the shift.
  • Job Hazards: Normal kitchen hazards such as wet floors, cuts, burns, and lifting trays.
  • Safety: Will follow safe work practices in accordance with housing complex health and safety policies.
