About the Role

The Restaurant Manager will play a key role in ensuring the success of Union Square Cafe by leading the dining room team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. This individual will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and hospitality, while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to set standards and practices for the dining room.
    • Lead and motivate the service team to achieve exceptional results.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and engagement.
  • Service Excellence
    • Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable dining experience.
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the dining room.
    • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and effective communication.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Manage inventory and supplies to ensure efficient service and minimize waste.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Process payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide ongoing training and coaching to service staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Develop and implement training programs to improve service standards and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a dining room management role, preferably in a fine dining environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and control.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • English fluency and Spanish proficiency preferred.
