The Senior Investment Accountant plays a crucial role in providing professional accounting support for the organization’s financial activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Execute necessary actions to ensure daily reconciliation between investment systems and custodians.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations among investment systems, general ledger, and custodians, addressing any discrepancies.
- Propose, implement, and document enhancements to current processes and solutions.
- Manage trade activities, assist with data processing, and ensure accuracy in transactional accounting within the investment system.
- Generate, analyze, and present timely and accurate financial and regulatory reports.
- Effectively prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines.
- Identify and resolve technical and operational issues related to the work area.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on specific business initiatives.
- Oversee the monthly closing process of the investment system.
- Support audits and examinations by providing necessary data and responses to inquiries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience is necessary.
- Experience in Public Accounting and/or Investment Accounting is advantageous.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting and financial software (e.g., Oracle, PAM, PLM) is preferred.
- Exhibit initiative and a self-directed approach to responsibilities.
- Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain consistent approaches and controls to uphold financial integrity.
