Position Overview

Salary: $25 per hour

Location: Littleton, CO

Role Summary

This internship offers a unique opportunity to assist in the daily operations and engineering aspects of communications systems projects. You will collaborate closely with Communication System Engineers and contribute to a cohesive team on various engineering assignments. The focus of this internship will be on systems and network design, including aspects of network architecture, fiber backbone design, and the development of systems such as CCTV, Emergency and VOIP telephones, Access Control, and SCADA systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing Communication System Engineering solutions
  • Creating and managing Bill of Materials
  • Developing Requests for Information (RFI)
  • Selecting appropriate products
  • Drafting Operations & Maintenance manuals
  • Producing training documentation
  • Participating in customer and internal meetings
  • Executing other design-related tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Genuine interest in Transit and/or Rail Construction Projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Effective time management abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of individuals and organizations, including public agencies, private utilities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Internship Benefits
