Job Summary:

Language Fundamentals is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at a progressive Skilled Nursing Facility in the Bronx, NY. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality speech therapy services to patients, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the facility's mission of delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with speech and language disorders.
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and interventions to improve patients' communication skills and quality of life.
  • Work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to educate them on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and facility policies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to learn and utilize electronic documentation systems and other technology as needed.
  • Goal-oriented approach with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the facility's mission.
