This role presents an exceptional opportunity to be part of our esteemed team of Speech-Language Pathologists at Montefiore Medical Center.

To be eligible, candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, hold certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association (CCC-SLP), and maintain a valid New York State license in Speech Language Pathology.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Ability to independently assess and treat patients experiencing speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Experience managing high-acuity cases while addressing the swallowing and communication needs of medically complex and critically ill patients.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills for effective collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in conducting Modified Barium Swallow studies in partnership with Radiology, as well as expertise in performing and interpreting Fiberoptic Evaluation of Swallow Studies (FEES).
  • Familiarity with craniofacial anomalies, congenital heart conditions, gastrointestinal issues, tracheostomy care, and head and neck malignancies.
  • Experience in evaluating and treating patients within an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility.
  • Potential for involvement in clinical and research initiatives.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Department: Rehabilitation Medicine Bargaining Unit: 1199 Employment Status: Regular Full-Time

Salary Range: $46.85 per hour
