Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to all students, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
  • Evaluate and treat students with disabilities, using your expertise to develop personalized plans for their growth and development.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and attendance, providing valuable insights for teachers and administrators.
  • Write comprehensive progress reports, highlighting student achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Attend IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective plans for students with special needs.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental accommodations, or assistive technology to support students with disabilities.
  • Perform other duties as needed, contributing to the overall success of our preschool community.
Qualifications:
  • 6+ months of Speech Language Pathology experience (new graduates welcome to apply)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field
  • NYS Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
  • NYS issued TSSLD
  • Strong assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
  • Patient-oriented and empathetic approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
Desired Skills:
  • Bilingual or multilingual
  • Experience working with the pediatric population
