Job Opportunity for a Contract Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant. As a contract SLP, you will have the opportunity to work with young students in a preschool setting, providing individual and group therapy sessions to support their language and communication development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs, and determine eligibility for speech services.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with special education needs, and present them to parents and school administrators.
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for children with identified speech and language disorders.
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records for all children on the caseload, and provide reports of progress to parents.
  • Organize caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school or classroom.
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communications Disorders.
  • New York SLP license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of New York referral procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings.
  • Professionalism and accountability.
