This role necessitates working in conjunction with both medical and psychiatric experts to guarantee the highest standard of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive crisis assessments to determine patient needs.
- Facilitate connections to appropriate services and support systems.
- Coordinate care management with external agencies and insurance providers as necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree or higher in a field related to behavioral health.
- Strong communication abilities to handle complex situations proficiently.
- Knowledge of DSM5, ICD10, and interqual/MCG guidelines.
- A minimum of two years of experience in assessments.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in crisis or emergency services within a behavioral health context.
- Awareness of patient rights and mental health legislation.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
- Valid driver's license in the State of Illinois (if applicable).
- CPI certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Current CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross within 90 days of employment.
