Nemours Children's Health, Orlando is seeking a skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or experienced Physician Assistant to join our team in a casual capacity.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), collaborating with the attending neonatologist and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Manage and coordinate patient care, including temperature stabilization, hyperalimentation therapy, feeding management, and phototherapy.
- Participate in daily rounds in the NICU, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Offer emotional support and counseling to families, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Collaborate with the attending physician, social worker, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to plan follow-up care and ensure a smooth transition for patients.
- Actively participate in research endeavors, identifying nursing problems and contributing to the dissemination of research findings to inform nursing practices.
- Florida licensure
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- 2 years of Neonatal experience (preferred)
