Role Overview

The Junior Product Management Specialist plays a crucial role in defining, prioritizing, and validating the tasks produced by the team to guarantee the most valuable and effective platform features.

In this position, you will collect product feature requests, develop user stories, schedule product launches, and collaborate with the Development Team to manage sprints effectively.

By partnering with the Sales and Client Success Teams, you will identify user requirements, create user stories, assist the Development Team in understanding business value and needs, and coordinate across various teams to oversee platform development and releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Product Management Lifecycle standards to achieve roadmap objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management to establish Product Vision, Strategy, and Roadmap.
  • Engage with all organizational functions (Product, Design, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Customer Success, etc.) to ascertain requirements and deliver features.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, balancing competing priorities.
  • Actively participate in technical design discussions with Engineering and Data Science Teams when defining requirements.
  • Create and maintain relevant product design documentation, including diagrams, mock-ups, and implementation plans.
  • Ensure user stories are development-ready, including clear business value and acceptance criteria.
  • Define scope and backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide the Agile Development Team.
  • Participate in all Agile ceremonies (Refinement, Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, etc.).
  • Draft product release notes and provide user training for deployed product features.
  • Continuously enhance your knowledge of our platform, product features, and user experiences.
  • Ensure customer needs are integrated into the development roadmap.
  • Collaborate with teams to support the overarching long-term strategic plan.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Product Management or a similar role.
  • Ability to work a minimum of three days per week from the office.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Interest in Generative AI and/or Artificial Intelligence.
  • Proficient in technical skills (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Apps Suite; sheets, docs, slides, etc.).
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Figma, and other product management and design tools.
  • Understanding of defining minimum marketable features and minimum viable products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capability to prioritize and multitask, with a passion for learning and professional growth.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and emotionally intelligent.
