We are seeking a Licensed Electrical Supervisor to enhance our growing team. The Licensed Electrical Supervisor will oversee the installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes, as well as all company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Manage labor, materials, supplies, and equipment costs to ensure timely project completion within budget.
  • Ensure all work is executed safely and in a professional manner.
  • Guarantee that all tasks meet BPC quality standards on the first attempt, eliminating the need for rework.
  • Conduct pre-job meetings with the Field Superintendent to establish the schedule and sequence of job activities.
  • Plan weekly job activities to determine crew requirements and schedule material, supply, and equipment deliveries.
  • Maintain clarity on the job's Contract Scope of Work and ensure any additional work is authorized by the Customer's representative.
  • Design and implement the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures according to job specifications and local codes.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to all crew members, addressing performance issues as necessary.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits using testing devices to ensure system compatibility and safety.
  • Utilize various tools and equipment, including power construction equipment, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary adjustments to ensure code compliance.
  • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment, ensuring adherence to building and safety codes.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components using test equipment and hand tools to identify and rectify issues.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Provide input on electrical systems for new construction and upgrades or replacements of existing systems.
  • Install conduit, pipes, or tubing in designated areas and pull insulated wires or cables through conduits to complete circuits.
  • Direct or train workers in the installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, or fixtures using hand or power tools.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches for conduit installation or moving heavy objects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Safety Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times, including the operation of tools, equipment, and machinery. Address unsafe conditions in the work area and report any unresolvable issues to a supervisor immediately.

Qualifications:

  • Current State of California General Electrician Certification is required.
  • A minimum of two to five years of experience as an electrician in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Strong understanding of residential electrical codes and installation practices.
  • Ability to verify compliance and functionality of installations.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations with various units of measure.

Compensation: $45.00/hr based on experience.
