Job Summary

The Director of Product Marketing - Retail Climbing Products will lead the development and execution of strategies to drive market share growth of the Werner Ladder brand and portfolio within the Retail Channel. This role will require a deep understanding of the end user and customer channel, leveraging expertise to develop strategic growth plans, including roadmap development, new product introduction, portfolio optimization, and lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision and financial plan for the assigned product line, leveraging in-depth end user, customer, and competitive insights to identify new business opportunities and inform long-range plans.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver 1 and 3-year new product roadmaps and associated investment plans, making recommendations for leveraging existing, enhanced, and new technologies.
  • Lead coordination of ongoing market and competitive intelligence, analyzing and effectively communicating market trends, customer demands, and competitor strategies for product and pricing.
  • Evaluate performance against strategic plan, reporting progress and recommending adjustments.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans, ensuring robust, 360-degree support for all new product launches and key initiatives.
  • Partner with Channel, Sales, and Customer teams to ensure commercial viability and set performance expectations, making recommendations for positioning and pricing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 10+ years of Product Management/Marketing experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of direct and indirect reports.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% for end user research, customer meetings, and shows/events as required.

Work Location

Hybrid remote in Itasca, IL, Charlotte, NC, or Austin, TX.
