Position Overview: Faculty Role in Gastroenterology
Stony Brook University School of Medicine is actively seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time faculty role within our esteemed division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Position Highlights:
- Full-time faculty roles available
- GI Hospitalist: 24 weeks of inpatient duties (Monday-Friday), with no outpatient obligations and limited weekend and night shifts
- General GI: Primarily outpatient clinical responsibilities with minimal inpatient, weekend, and night duties; IBD experience preferred
- Interventional GI: Responsibilities include both inpatient and outpatient care, with significant opportunities for professional growth

Exceptional Gastroenterology Team:
Become part of our distinguished GI Division, which includes a talented faculty of 12 GI specialists, 13 exemplary fellows, and a dedicated team of skilled nurses and advanced practice providers.

Our medical center features a state-of-the-art hospital-based endoscopy unit with dedicated procedure time, complemented by a conveniently located ambulatory care pavilion.
Qualifications Required:
- MD or equivalent degree
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Experience in clinical practice and education
- Proficiency in various endoscopic techniques
Appointment Criteria:
Candidates for the Associate Professor/Professor level must meet the School of Medicine's standards for Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure.
