Critical Environment Support Specialist

BCforward is seeking a highly motivated Critical Environment Support Assistant to join our team in Leesburg, VA. As a Critical Environment Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of waste management in our data center.
Key Responsibilities:- Waste Stream Management: Sort waste streams according to recyclables and landfill categories, ensuring proper waste diversion measures are taken.
- Waste Bin Maintenance: Ensure waste bins are labeled, clean, and accessible, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
- Waste Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor waste generation and diversion rates, reporting any issues or suggestions to improve waste management practices.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with CBRE/waste haulers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate pickup and delivery of waste.
- Waste Awareness and Education: Proactively guide waste producers to proper recycling locations, raising awareness for waste streams without recycling solutions.
- Dumpster Inspections: Conduct frequent dumpster/waste bin inspections to ensure proper sorting has taken place.
- Logistics Support: Work with logistics team members to capture all sorting opportunities and deliver recycling materials to recyclers as needed.
- Filter Replacements and Disposal: Support Critical Environment Operations Team with filter replacements and disposal.
- Vendor Project Monitoring: Monitor vendor projects for proper waste disposal.
- Additional Duties: Assist CE teams and Logistics teams with various other duties as required.
- Waste Management Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience in waste management and a commitment to sustainability.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools is necessary for success in this role.
- Availability: The resource will work Monday through Friday, core business hours between 7AM and 7PM.
