STERIS is seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team in the production of Surgical Table products. As an Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining production levels and ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble Surgical Table products based on knowledge of component parts and sub-assemblies.
- Use and understand torque wrenches and test equipment to troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain published productivity standards by utilizing a traveler, blueprint, and standard work.
- Ensure high-quality standards are met by adhering to departmental quality ratings.
- Maintain safe work areas and practice safe work habits.
- Apply 5S tools, including the T-card system, to optimize workflow.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Shop Floor Control.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as 5S and Kanban Inventory.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand schematics.
- Experience using torque wrenches and test equipment, with related troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to make decisions and stay quality-focused.
- Ability to understand and follow work instructions, both written and oral.
- Ability to adapt to changing business requirements.
- Proven teamwork experience.
- Ability to work overtime, if required.
- Prior AS400 experience.
- Experience with hydraulics and electrical component assemblies.
