Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled engineering professional to support the GE Aerospace Test Systems Engineering/Flight Test Operations teams (TSE/FTO) with a focus on data management and business collaboration. This role requires a process-oriented individual with strong documentation and data skills, capable of problem-solving and possessing a lean mindset. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to influence without direct authority and possess a deep understanding of Aerospace engineering language to aid in multi-million-dollar Plant and Equipment (P&E) strategic planning and investment strategy.Key Responsibilities
  • Process improvement and metrics tracking in assigned operations areas, utilizing the Flight Deck methodology to work in a Lean manner. Areas may include Plant & Engineering (P&E), special tooling, and bullet train support.
  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function, influencing the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services, staying informed of industry trends that may inform work.
  • Uses high-level judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering, assessing the quality of information given and asking pertinent questions to stakeholders.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity, communicating difficult concepts and influencing others' options on topics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 5 additional years of experience in an aerospace or engineering position.
  • Ability to support from Evendale, OH or Lynn, MA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Experience in GE Aerospace or comparable organization engine test and/or Test Systems Engineering (TSE) and/or Flight Test Operations (FTO).

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
