Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Roofing Sales Consultant to cultivate new partnerships and promote lucrative preventive roof maintenance contracts, restoration coating solutions, and corrective roofing services for commercial, industrial, and governmental structures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately maintaining all inspection and proposal opportunities within our CRM system in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are essential:

  • Proven experience in selling profitable commercial roofing service contracts and/or restoration coating solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Exceptional writing skills for crafting impactful reports, proposals, and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Experience working with a diverse clientele.
  • Willingness to conduct site visits and prepare detailed assessments by measuring and noting all relevant roof site variables.
  • Proficient in various software applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with office administrative procedures and standard office equipment.

Requirements:

Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of verifiable estimating experience specifically in commercial roofing, ideally with a focus on service and/or coating restoration work. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is mandatory, and candidates will be assessed on their skills.



Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will:

  • Demonstrate solid knowledge in analyzing roofs, blueprints, and specifications to prepare material quotes, labor requirements, project pricing, and bid abstracts.
  • Compile itemized lists and summaries.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of manufacturer product warranties.
  • Maintain positive relationships with property and facilities managers, general contractors, and manufacturer representatives.
  • Calculate cost factors and prepare estimates for management purposes, including planning, organizing, scheduling work, preparing bids, and selecting vendors/subcontractors.
  • Consult with subcontractors and vendors to discuss and resolve estimating issues.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Purchasing, and Management in preparing and evaluating bids.
  • Organize and manage a centralized cost estimating database to support cost estimating processes.
  • Identify cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Estimate prices for change orders on existing contracts.
  • Participate in pre-construction and bid/pre-qualification meetings.
