Job Title: Quality Technician

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team. As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our packaging products and services.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct various critical UN DOT regulatory standard performance testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Understand and apply regulatory performance testing protocols, including hydrostatic pressure, vibrations, gravity, and force, to effectively and safely operate specialty equipment.
  • Accurately report test results and data via electronic media and on neatly written shift reports.
  • Work closely with front-line operators and production supervisors to advise on adjustments needed to maintain quality standards.
  • Notify supervisors when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when major incidents of poor quality are identified.
  • Follow procedures for containments and placing defective or contaminated drums on HOLD.
  • Provide customer interface to provide information or quality documents, such as Certificate of Analysis, upon request.
  • Aid in the planning, promotion, and organizing of training activities related to product quality and reliability.
  • May be required to assist with testing on samples and special situations.
  • Perform all duties in the department in a safe manner and consistent with all company safety rules.
  • Develop and demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of established quality policy, procedures, regulatory standards, and instructions.
  • Perform various other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Provide backup support for Quality Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 2 years related trade school training; or equivalent of education and experience in similar environment.
  • Use and understanding of precision measuring instruments and gauges, specifications, charts, and diagrams.
  • Ability to accurately read measuring devices, blueprints, product specifications, and test procedures.
  • Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Computer skills are required (familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office suite).
  • Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping.
  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs.
  • Vision: 20/20 corrected and normal hearing range.
  • Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination and motor skills.
  • Must be able to stand, balance, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch for extended periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions.
