Position Overview:

As an Insurance Claims Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of intricate, high-stakes auto and general liability claims throughout their entire lifecycle. Given the often litigious nature of these claims, prior experience in handling legal matters and coordinating with defense attorneys is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough investigations and assess the information gathered;
  • Make informed coverage decisions and communicate written positions to policyholders and other relevant parties;
  • Set and regularly review appropriate expense and indemnity reserves within established authority levels;
  • Present cases to management for reserve authority exceeding established limits;
  • Develop and implement effective resolution strategies to ensure optimal outcomes;
  • Proactively oversee litigation processes and collaborate with legal counsel, including planning, budgeting, and reviewing bills;
  • Attend trials and mediations as required;
  • Contribute to broader organizational goals by participating in audits, projects, and product development initiatives;
  • Prepare detailed reports and deliver presentations to senior leadership on case developments, policy matters, and industry trends;
  • Support field offices by assisting personnel with coverage and liability assessments, time-sensitive demands, and complex evaluations;
  • Collaborate with business partners to analyze and address emerging claim trends, enhancing relationships with agents and policyholders through effective communication and superior service.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is required; a law degree is advantageous;
  • A minimum of seven years of experience managing complex litigated auto and general liability claims is required;
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent strategic thinking and execution capabilities;
  • Advanced negotiation skills and technical expertise in claims handling, including knowledge of coverage and tort laws;
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement;
  • Intellectual curiosity with the ability to identify and act on efficiency opportunities;
  • Results-driven with a knack for creative problem-solving;
  • Ability to exceed expectations and inspire others to do the same.
Additional Information:

This position may require travel of up to 20%. A hybrid or remote work arrangement is available, with expectations for in-office presence as business needs dictate.

Compensation:

The annualized base pay range for this role is $101,200 - $151,800, based on market analysis. Actual compensation may vary based on performance and demonstrated competencies. The total compensation package may also include bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition rewards.
