Position Overview

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the installation and maintenance of applications, systems, and services both on-premises and in the cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and define business requirements to establish specifications and standards; develop and propose effective solutions.
  • Oversee the deployment and integration of web-based applications, ensuring compliance with relevant information security standards.
  • Maintain detailed reports, logs, and records of security audits, while monitoring system uptime and performance to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and assess their potential impact on organizational operations.
  • Possess experience with various cloud computing platforms and act as a lead or first-level supervisor when necessary.
  • Perform tasks with minimal supervision, handling complex issues and escalating only the most challenging problems to higher-level staff.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter and provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to junior team members.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in relevant programming languages and software design, documentation, and debugging.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Bamboo, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Hands-on experience with Autosys application administration support.
  • Familiarity with the Unix environment and the ability to write basic shell scripts for process automation.
  • Knowledge of patch management and maintaining an up-to-date environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to effectively resolve issues.
  • Ability to create and maintain dashboards and filters for reporting purposes.
  • Collaborative team player with a Bachelor’s Degree and 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.
Azure Administrator Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Azure resources and services, including provisioning and configuring virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
  • Handle cost management and optimize usage of cloud resources.
  • Possess a solid understanding of cloud concepts and experience with cloud-based services.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform, including computing, storage, networking, security, databases, and analytics.
  • Utilize scripting and programming skills in PowerShell, Python, and C# for task automation and Azure solution development.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Maintain awareness of best security practices and compliance standards to protect cloud environments and data.
Essential Experience
  • Experience with job scheduling platforms, specifically Autosys.
  • Proficient in support monitoring platforms, such as OpsRamp.
  • Support and maintain the Atlassian CI/CD toolset.
