Position Overview

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the installation and maintenance of applications, systems, services, and associated infrastructures both on-premises and in the cloud. This role involves analyzing and defining business requirements to establish specifications and standards, as well as proposing and developing innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the deployment and integration of web-based applications, ensuring compliance with relevant information security standards.
  • Maintain detailed reports, logs, and records of security audits, while monitoring system uptime and performance to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
  • Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, assessing their potential impact on organizational operations.
  • Possess extensive experience with various cloud computing platforms, acting as a lead or first-level supervisor when necessary.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, addressing complex issues and escalating only the most challenging problems to higher-level staff.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Atlassian tools such as Jira, Bamboo, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Hands-on experience with Autosys application administration support.
  • Familiarity with the Unix environment and the ability to write basic shell scripts for process automation.
  • Experience in patch management to ensure the environment remains current.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to effectively resolve issues.
  • Ability to create and maintain dashboards and filters for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.
Azure Administrator Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Azure resources and services, including provisioning and configuring virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
  • Handle cost management and usage optimization for cloud resources.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of cloud concepts and services.
  • Exhibit in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform, covering computing, storage, networking, security, databases, and analytics.
  • Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, and C# for automating tasks and developing Azure solutions.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Maintain awareness of best security practices and compliance standards to protect cloud environments and data.
Essential Experience
  • Experience with job scheduling platforms, specifically Autosys.
  • Familiarity with support monitoring platforms, such as OpsRamp.
  • Support and maintain the Atlassian CI/CD toolset.
