About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Network Engineer (P3) to join our Network Engineering Team at Raytheon Digital Technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our classified network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the integrity and security of our network infrastructure, including voice and data networks.
  • Plan, evaluate, coordinate, and perform installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication networks.
  • Develop technical expertise in all areas of voice and data networks hardware and software interconnection and interfacing.
  • Maintain network management software platforms and propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage.
  • Prepare or ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions, technical diagrams, and other documentation.
  • Provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.
  • Assist with coordination of third-party maintenance for network equipment or with vendors for third-party support.
  • Design and implement network architectures that meet the needs of our organization.
  • Work with program engineers to resolve networking problems in tactical environments.
  • Assist in the overall performance and capability of the technical team through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering/Technology roles, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with network management software, Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Active and in-scope DoD Secret US security clearance.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and travel domestically as needed.
