About the Role

Prime Video is seeking a highly skilled Privacy Industry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of entertainment and ensuring the security and privacy of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure Prime Video remains compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Legal and Regulatory Compliance, to drive control implementation and compliance activities.
  • Build and maintain a technical and non-technical program to cover all aspects of compliance, privacy, and governance across Amazon.
  • Advise software engineers, architects, and product managers on technical risks and necessary remediation, and translate technical risks into business risks.
  • Work closely with security and software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand the current state of compliance, identify gaps, and get ahead of new requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate compliance risks in data privacy, data use, access controls, data tenancy, and security best practices.
  • Manage compliance program projects and drive multiple product launches across various categories using Amazon's standard delivery mechanisms.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements that apply to Amazon, and ensure compliance with internal Amazon requirements, including information security policies and requirements from Amazon Legal.
  • Drive risk reduction programs and activities, including technical changes and process changes that reduce Amazon's risk resulting from the business processes the teams support.
  • Implement and manage GDPR Privacy processes across multiple services, including right to be forgotten and right to access requests.
  • Identify, document, and provide technical, functional, and process requirements to business and engineering teams and validate implementations.
About the Team

This position will be part of a team within the Amazon Prime Video READI (Resilience, Availability & Demand Insights) organization.

The Security and Privacy engineering lead's mission is to align Prime Video security and privacy business objectives, while managing risk and meeting security and privacy requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior experience in Privacy
  • Former role in privacy with knowledge of regulatory and industry requirements and standards
  • Prior experience leading projects with tight deadlines that involve the use of automated and manual systems and supporting internal customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications in privacy (IAPP)
  • Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Proven knowledge of domestic and global privacy regulations and applying them in a technology environment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining business unit scorecards
  • Experience with audit, metrics, and dashboards a plus.
