About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Privacy Compliance Specialist to join our team at Amazon Prime Video. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and privacy of our customers' data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, and security, to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Design and implement technical solutions to address compliance and security gaps.
  • Provide expert guidance on data privacy and security best practices to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain compliance program projects, including sprint planning, PR/FAQs, and weekly business reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including information security policies and requirements from Amazon Legal.
  • Drive risk reduction programs and activities, including technical changes and process changes that reduce Amazon's risk.
  • Implement and manage GDPR Privacy processes across multiple services, including right to be forgotten and right to access requests.
About the Team

This position will be part of a team within the Amazon Prime Video READI (Resilience, Availability & Demand Insights) organization.

The Security and Privacy engineering lead's mission is to align Prime Video security and privacy business objectives, while managing risk and meeting security and privacy requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior experience in Privacy
  • Former role in privacy with knowledge of regulatory and industry requirements and standards
  • Prior experience leading projects with tight deadlines that involve the use of automated and manual systems and supporting internal customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications in privacy (IAPP)
  • Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Proven knowledge of domestic and global privacy regulations and applying them in a technology environment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining business unit scorecards
  • Experience with audit, metrics, and dashboards a plus.

The base pay for this position ranges from $107,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,700/year in our highest geographic market.
