Job Title: Mobile Diesel Mechanic Technician

Ryder is seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA. As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and diagnostic repairs
  • Repair and maintain diesel engines, including advanced skilled level repairs
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates
  • Coordinate work schedule as required by customers and ensure quality of repair work performed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Three years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
  • Non-Commercial Driver License Class E preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment
