Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Interstate Companies Inc. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining diesel engines and components used in various vehicles and equipment. This is a dynamic role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex diesel engine conditions
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines and components
  • Communicate effectively with peers and management regarding repairs and maintenance
  • Ensure quality control and maximum customer satisfaction
  • Meet requirements for certifications and training
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license (bonus compensation for CDL holders)
  • Technical degree or certification a plus
  • Excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product
  • Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, and International
  • Physical ability to lift and work with no restrictions
