Job Title: Diesel Technician Mobile

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Technician Mobile to join our team at Ryder. As a Diesel Technician Mobile, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and diagnostic repairs.
  • Identify and repair issues with air brake systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including tire and wheel maintenance, suspension and chassis maintenance, and steering and non-driven axle maintenance.
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available.
  • Perform work in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e. safety, DOT).
  • Use internal and external maintenance documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Requires demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including: routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs, advanced skilled level repairs.
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred.
  • NonCommercial Driver License CLASS E, preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred.
  • Other State driver's license, as required.
  • Two (2) years or more experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment.
  • Able to take home assigned mobile service truck, as applicable, and secure vehicle and contents.
  • Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles.
