The Catering Captain is a key member of our team at McMenamins, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth execution of catered events. As a Catering Captain, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, responsible for setting up, running, and breaking down events, as well as providing excellent customer service throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and break down events, including setting up tables, chairs, and bars, serving food and beverages, and cleaning up after events
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded
  • Work closely with the catering team to ensure seamless execution of events, including coordinating with vendors and staff
  • Manage event logistics, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and coordinating with other departments
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in catering, hospitality, or related field
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, as well as stand for long periods of time
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
