Job Title: Catering Captain

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and location. This is a full-time salaried position with a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Description:

The Catering Captain is responsible for effectively running individual catered events, including setup, execution, and breakdown. This position requires a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Catering Captain must be able to work well independently and as a member of a team, and must be able to lift and carry heavy objects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide exceptional customer service and catered events in a high-volume environment
2. Set up, run, and break down events, including setup of tables, chairs, and bars, serving food and beverages, and cleaning and sanitizing equipment and facilities
3. Manage event staff, including recruiting, training, and supervising servers, bartenders, and other event staff
4. Coordinate with customers, catering managers, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of events
5. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue for catering events
6. Monitor and maintain event budgets, including tracking expenses and preparing financial reports

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in food and beverage service, with a focus on events and catering
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and to work on feet for long periods
• Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, and ability to communicate effectively about these products
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
