Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing complex administrative tasks using a personal computer. The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate office services and administrative activities for a Job Corps center, interpret operating policies and Core Values, and exercise independent judgment in the resolution of administrative problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in providing presentations to local high schools, one-stops, and other organizations to reach eligible populations.
  • Participate in orientation sessions to welcome new students and provide them with essential information.
  • Conduct campus tours to showcase the facilities and services available to students.
  • Support Outreach and Admissions Counselors in initial prospect contact and maintaining contact with prospects through social media.
  • Conduct pre-arrival calls to prospective students to answer their questions and provide them with necessary information.
  • Assist with welcome activities for newly arrived students, including providing them with necessary documents and information.
  • Conduct pre-90-day focus groups with students to gather feedback and provide suggestions for improvement.
  • Support Outreach and Admissions Counselors in retention activities, including communication with students in unauthorized absence status.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

Minimum: High school diploma or high school equivalency.

Preferred: Minimum plus hold a valid driver's license.

Knowledge: Knowledge of Job Corps or similar training programs, social media, IT, and smartphone applications. Knowledge and experience with MS PowerPoint and Publisher.
