Safety Manager

PEI is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Representative to join our team. As a Safety Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
Your expertise in construction management, risk management, and OSHA guidelines will be crucial in maintaining the highest standards of safety on our construction sites.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and assess overall safety performance
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to develop safety plans for each project
- Provide training to employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
- Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry trends
- Collaborate with external agencies, such as OSHA or EHS consultants, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Promote a culture of safety awareness among all employees
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices
- Proficiency in construction management software for tracking safety metrics and incidents
- Solid understanding of risk management principles and techniques
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) standards and practices
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train employees on safety protocols
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends or areas for improvement in safety performance
- Strong problem-solving skills to address safety issues promptly and effectively
- Knowledge of workers' compensation processes and procedures
- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards is a plus
