Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Behavior Plans: Collaborate with students to apply behavior intervention plans and help them achieve specific goals.
  • One-on-One Support: Provide personalized assistance to students, reinforcing positive behaviors and teaching vital new skills.
  • Track Progress: Accurately collect and record data on student progress, including behavioral changes and goal achievements.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to ensure consistent support and implementation of strategies.
  • Create a Positive Environment: Help maintain a structured and nurturing classroom environment that promotes student success.
  • Provide Insight: Offer valuable input during team meetings to refine and adjust behavior intervention plans as needed.
  • Maintain Communication: Keep supervisors informed of student progress and any challenges, while upholding ethical standards and confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree in psychology, education, or a related field preferred.
  • Certification: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
  • Experience: Prior experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disorders, is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), excellent communication, observational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Qualities: Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to improving the lives of students with special needs.
