Your Role

We are seeking a Programmatic Operations Associate Manager to manage various initiatives. Your expertise in advertising operations and programmatic strategies will be pivotal in enhancing Hearst Magazines' programmatic advertising revenue.

Key Responsibilities

What You Will Do:
  • Facilitate revenue growth for the Programmatic team through technical ad operations. This includes supporting programmatic auction systems, their implementation, configuration, administration, and overall operations across all auction types, while also providing support for advertiser-direct agreements.
  • Lead the technical management of programmatic and ad technology partnerships. This involves identifying challenges, conducting baseline investigations, researching, and documenting findings for escalation to vendor partners. Collaborate with external parties to resolve issues and communicate outcomes to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining ad quality and compliance standards.
  • Support our global sales teams and manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Oversee project management for various ad technology-related implementations and optimization initiatives.
Qualifications

Who You Are:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Programmatic Ad Operations, including proficiency with Google Ad Manager (GAM) and Google Ad Exchange (AdX).
  • At least 2 years of experience managing programmatic functions such as deal setups, pricing rules, ad quality standards, and reporting using platforms like Xandr, Magnite, Triplelift, Teads, Index Exchange SSPs, or similar.
  • Familiarity with header bidding and its frameworks.
  • Experience in optimizing processes for supporting sales agreements, auction system regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service to advertising clients.
  • Knowledge of identity and targeting solutions, DMPs, openRTB specifications, ad technology engineering, VAST/VPAID, GDPR compliance, and data science is advantageous.
  • Proficient in:
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel
    • Google Docs and Google Forms
    • Collaboration tools such as Notion, Airtable, and Slack
The salary range for this position is between $64,000 and $77,000 annually, with actual compensation determined by various factors including transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market conditions. This range is subject to change.
