About This Role

Mountain Park Health Care is seeking a skilled Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team in a clinical capacity. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will be responsible for assessing psychiatric patients, creating and coordinating treatment plans, and overseeing the ongoing treatment of assigned patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning
    • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify mental health concerns and develop effective treatment plans.
    • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure patient needs are met and treatment plans are revised as necessary.
  • Patient Care and Support
    • Administer psychotherapy to patients, groups, and families to promote mental health and well-being.
    • Diagnose and treat the causes and symptoms of mental health concerns.
    • Communicate patient information to necessary staff and family members in accordance with Mountain Park Health Care standards.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
    • Accurately document patient information, including intake, discharge, transfer, and other assigned procedures.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to promote effective treatment plans and patient care.
    • Communicate with outside care facilities and other organizations to ensure accurate patient information.
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • May supervise lower-level positions to assist in training and proper care of patients.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Masters Degree in counseling, behavioral health, or an approved related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent certification in the State of Arizona.
    • Current CPR certification.
  • Other Requirements
    • Valid driver's license.
