Overview

We are seeking a qualified Substance Abuse Counselor to provide essential support in our community. The successful candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Counseling or a related discipline, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in the field of substance abuse counseling. A valid license to practice in the State of Arizona is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive treatment plans while making suitable referrals
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients
  • Stay updated on the latest methodologies in substance abuse treatment
  • Conduct educational outreach to youth and community members regarding substance abuse
  • Ensure confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate effectively with local behavioral health organizations
  • Oversee the Substance Abuse Program and address issues related to domestic violence
  • Support clinical staff within the department as necessary
  • Participate in on-call duties on a rotating schedule
Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of available behavioral health resources
  • Understanding of the behaviors associated with drug and alcohol abuse
  • Ability to foster effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Skill in identifying appropriate resources for client referrals
  • Flexibility in work hours and the capability to engage with various age groups
