Rumpke Transportation Company, LLC is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, and other critical components to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect and diagnose issues with brake systems, steering mechanisms, and other safety-critical systems to ensure safe operation of our vehicles.
- Repair and troubleshoot complex problems with major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.
- Complete accurate work orders and maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to read and speak English fluently; bilingual skills a plus.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
